The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today claimed to have arrested four leaders of banned militant outfit Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in Dhaka’s Jatrabari area.
A team of Rab arrested them after raiding a house in Dolaipar area around 6:20am, Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, senior assistant director of Rab’s legal and media wing, told The Daily Star.
The arrestees include Md Ashfak e Azam alias Apel, chief of IT of a faction, which Rab called the “Sarwar-Tamim group”, according to a text message of the elite force.
The law enforcers also recovered firearms and explosives during the drive.
