Both the bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — witnessed downward trend in early hour of trading on Thursday, the last trading session of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, declined 10.46 points while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse, CSCX rose 19.59 points, after first one hour of trading.
DSEX went down by 10.46points or 0.18 per cent to reach at 5615.37 at 11:37 am.
The two other indices also saw negative trend till then. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) shed over 3.12 points or 0.23 per cent to stand at 1310.02 points.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips lost 3.14 points or 0.15 per cent to stand at 2030.31 points.
Trade deals stood at 57263 shares to stand at Tk 3871.10 million on the DSE, riding on Beximco Pharmaceuticals and Ratanpur Steel Re-rolling Mills.
But of the issues traded till then, 103 advanced, 125 declined and 65 issues remained unchanged.

topped the turnover chart with shares worth Tk 288.19 million changing hands till then.
The port city bourse the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw negative trend till then with its Selective Category Index – CSCX–gaining 19.59 points to stand at 10546.83 points, also at 11:31am.
Of the issues traded till then, 62 gained, 80 declined and 24 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 163 million.
