Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha on Saturday has alleged that a certain quarter is active to misguide the head of the government with wrong information about the judiciary in a bid to create loggerheads between the administration and the judiciary.
He criticized the section for misguiding the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by providing minor problems of the judiciary.
“Please, provide the right information to help maintain a good relationship between the government and the judiciary,” he said.
The Chief Justice has made the disclosure while addressing the inaugural function of online application registration system of Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission.
He also warned that “The government is being affected because of the wrong information, not the judiciary.”
He said corruption, crimes and terrorist activities would have come down in the country had the judges been able to properly exercise the power given to them by the constitution and the law.
