John Chowdhury is renowned as IT and Energy expert. He is responsible for the development and execution of the industry strategy to delivery consulting services as well as the development and direction of the Industry thought leadership and solutions strategy. Prior to this position, John was Smart Grid and Risk Management Sales Vice President at KEMA Consulting.
John has over 25 years’ experience and has lead projects in the areas of financial, operational and technology strategy with specific expertise in smart grid strategy, utility network of the future strategy, Fiber to the Home (FTTH) strategy and large scale technology implementation. He successfully delivered projects in the areas of smart meters (AMI), distribution automation (DA), renewable integration and technology deployment.
He has been a thought leader in the area of smart grid, network of the future for utilities, NERC/CIP, cyber security, business model transformation and has authored the following papers in the last 3 years: Customer Privacy and Data Security, Creating New Business Models for Cooperatives, Transformation of Utility Network, Understanding the Smart Energy Consumer, NERC/CIP 5 Compliance and Internet of Things (IoT) impact on Utility Industry.
